This was our second stay at The Grove. The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need and want. I have celiac disease and can’t have anything with gluten/wheat. I was able to have a full English breakfast without missing out on anything. GF bread was provided and I didn’t have to miss out on anything. They are excellent hosts, the rooms are beautiful, there’s parking and it’s close to everything. It’s the perfect place to stay. We can’t wait to go again.

2nd visit and first class again. Can't be faulted in any way. A 10 min stroll from the busy town centre which is perfect as you are near everything but not on top of it. Rooms very fresh and modern, bed linin and pillows fluffy and fresh, breakfast high quality, all items excellent, thick bacon, top class sausage, eggs great... very nice hosts... we can find no fault. Totally recommended.

The place was lovely and clean. The rooms are comfy. Breakfast is cooked to order. Nice little touches such as fridges stocked with fresh milk and water on each floor.

Lovely B&B, fantastic breakfast, lots of options, plenty to keep you going for a day exploring. Nice clean rooms. Well set up and organised from check in to check out. Milk and water in fridge nice touch. Amazing hosts. Great location fairly flat walk to and from town.

Fantastic place. The room was nice with a beautiful view on the park. It was 5 min from the station and the Coop and 15 min from the harbour and the beach. Breakfast was great and the hosts tailored it on your favourites. They are so friendly.

A lovely old guesthouse that has had major room refurbishments and fitted ensuite rooms with excellent modern fittings. The rooms were very clean as well as the ensuite. Hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent, it had to be pre ordered but for the quality of what you get its worth it. Only about a 10 min walk max to the town centre. Free parking as well. Plenty of storage space in the rooms. Would not hesitate to stop here again. Give it a try it's lovely.

A lovely guest house, opposite Pannett Park, just on the edge of Whitby town centre. It's about a 7-10 minute walk to the train station and bus terminus. It's in a great location with it's own private car park at the rear of the property, which in Whitby is such a bonus. It is a typical guest house, big beautiful house set over 3 floors. Our ensuite room (room 7) was very good, nice and warm and cosy, at the back of the premises with a really comfy double bed, TV and tea making facilities. Even a little bag of free fudge! There are fridges on the landing area just outside the rooms with fresh milk in them for your tea or coffee. No UHT milk here! You can also use them to keep your bottle of water or cans of coke chilled till you need them. Breakfast is available but we haven't tried it so far, this is our 2nd stay here, as we find that there are lots of places to eat in Whitby and we can head out when we are ready. It does smell pretty good though! The hosts are lovely and friendly and can offer lots of local knowledge and advise on places to go. Just to say it's also a pretty good price for the standard on offer and is good value for money, especially as there is a free car park.

Just had the best stay at the Grove the position was only 5 mins away from everything ...Danny and Joanne were so welcoming ...breakfast was amazing 👏🏻...the rooms were clean and so nicely decorated it was such a nice stay ...I really would recommend staying here 😊

Fabulous stay for 2 nights. Parking a big bonus. 5 min walk to town. Hosts Jo and Danny just perfect and helpful with local knowledge. En suite Rooms were clean, comfortable and there's a fridge on the landing for fresh milk and water during our stay. Breakfast was amazing and well organised with a great range to choose from. Thanks guys.

A long overdue review! Are regulars here and have stayed here many times over the years. Danny and Jo are the warmest, most welcoming, loveliest, and helpful of folk it is possible to have. Kind, sincere, caring and very genuine proprietors. Approachable and down to earth, nothing is too much trouble and they both go above and beyond to ensure everyone's stay is as great as possible. Oh, and I forgot to say, they're both funny too, but not in a funny odd way! Ha ha hee. Good local knowledge and brekky is always fab. Very hardworking couple who deserve to do well. I always look forward to staying here and sis echoes my sentiments 100% too. Guests' requirements are remembered in detail, irrespective of when you last visited, and all this extra attention to detail completely unprompted or reminded. This is a couple who continue, trip on trip, to go all out to improve their business to the highest professional standard. I can't recommend them highly enough to you. Danny and Jo, thank you both so very much for everything, you pair of marvels, you! Hugs X

Unfortunately I have stayed there. Stairs and parking horrendous. Bad reviews are classed as a scam it seems, avoid at all costs

Excellent friendly helpful hosts, parking in Whitby is difficult so this is a plus. The room was excellent and comfortable to a high standard. The full english breakfast was a good start to the day and something I looked forward to. We will return and thank you for a few days stay.

We spent a long weekend in Whitby, staying here was a great choice for us, the room had all we needed, and very clean, fresh milk was available all the time for tea or coffee in your room, breakfast was great too, plenty of it as well. Joanne and Danny made us feel really welcome, we would highly recommend, thank you both 😊

Opposite Pannet Park and approx 5 min walk to the harbour. Parking to the rear. Comfortable room. Comfy bed. Fresh milk in landing fridge. Everywhere very clean. Delicious full-english breakfast. Fruit bowl on hall table. Several outside seating areas, and some steps. Danny and Joanna are a very friendly and helpful couple who will ensure you are well looked after.

Ideal base for our trip, with parking on site. Breakfast was excellent, there were lovely touches like locally made fudge, Harrogate water and Yorkshire crisps in the room and fresh fruit provided daily for guests to help themselves to. Would highly recommend this property.
